Water Based Inks

Will your inks crack or fade?
Water-based inks don't crack like plastisol inks, since they are absorbed into the shirt instead of sitting on top of it. The colors hold up very well to washing, and wont fade away.

Can you print on darks?
Yes. We use a water-based discharge, which replaces the dye of the t-shirt with a water-based pigment. The actual fibers get dyed a different color, which is why the prints are known to be so soft.

I heard water-based inks are more expensive than plastisol inks?
This is only true because most shops aren't set up to work with water-based inks. Since we specialize in using only water-based inks, we can do it for the same price most shops print plastisol. The ink itself has very little impact on the cost of printing.

Artwork Requirements

What is your maximum print size?
We can print up to 12x17 inches.

What is your minimum order size?
Our minimum order is 12 shirts per color. For example if you want a 1-color print on the back, and a 2-color print on the front, that would be 3 color and a 36 minimum.

How many colors can you print?
Up to 6 spot colors. Above 6, we do full color CMYK printing or simulated process printing, which is a process that emulates many more colors - for example a photograph or a painting.

What sort of files should I send you?
If you can send a vector file, then please do; this will produce the highest quality print. If you are sending a bitmap file, please have it 300dpi, in the correct print size, and saved as either a Photoshop file (preferred) or a standard image file (gif, jpg, png).

How do I outline fonts in Illustrator?
Right click on the text and click "Create outlines". This ensures that we will receive any custom fonts included in the artwork.

Artwork Touchups

How much does it cost to have you guys design or touch up my t-shirt artwork?
It depends on the complexity of the design. We're glad to answer this is on a case by case basis, e-mail us your ideas and we will let you know.

Ordering

How many colors is my design?
If you are not sure how many colors are in your design, skip that part of the form. Make sure to send us your design though, so we can take a look and figure it out for you.

Payment

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept checks, Visa and MasterCard. To pay with a credit card, call us at 800-328-9460. If you are paying by check, allow extra turn-around time for us to receive it.

Why do you do two separate 50% payments?
We do this so we can accurately calculate shipping costs (we don't mark up shipping) once your order ships out.

Lead Time

How long does it take to get my shirts?
Our typical turn-around is 10 business days. We will give you an estimated completion date when you place your order.

Can you guarantee that my shirts will be here by a certain date?
If you need a rushed order, or an order shipped by a certain deadline, ask us and we will let you know what we can do. Usually a small fee will apply.

Payment
We collect full payment before we begin printing.

Payment Methods
We accept checks, cash, Visa and MasterCard. If you are paying by check, please allow extra turnaround time for us to receive the payment.

Prices
Prices are subject to change after we review your artwork.

Turnaround Time
Our standard turnaround time is 10 business days. Turnaround time may vary depending on the size of your order and how busy we are. We will give you an estimated ship date for your order when production begins (when we receive payment).

Shipping
Shipping is not included in the turnaround time. We will ship your order via UPS ground unless otherwise specified.

Rush Orders
If you need your shirts quickly or by a certain deadline, ask us and we will let you know what we can do. Note that we do not begin production until full payment is received. We do not include the time it takes to ship the shirts, and cannot guarantee that the carrier (UPS unless otherwise specified) will arrive on time.

Artwork & Screens
All artwork provided by Casualtee, screens, and films remain the property of Casualtee. We will not share or distribute your artwork and it will remain private.

Print Accuracy
We will do our best to make your print look good, however due to the nature of screen printing the screen print may vary in color or detail from the original copy.

Printed Samples
We do not currently offer printed samples as a typical option. If you would like to see a printed sample before a large run, let us know and we will see what we can do.

Misprints & Defects
Printing on light fabric garments (when the print is darker than the fabric) are subject to 2% misprints. Dark fabric prints (with lighter colored inks) are subject to 5% misprints. If you are supplying shirts, please provide 1-5 additional shirts to run as tests prior to production.

Supplied Garments
Please take into consideration that we are not liable for any imperfections on arrival, and will print 100% of the supplied garments. We will mark any holes and stains that we find with tape as a courtesy.

Order Cancellations
You may cancel your order at any time. We will refund a percentage of your deposit depending on how far along we are with production.

Apparel Sources
We provide apparel sources for Fair Trade, made in USA, organic, and other ethical options. We do extensive research on each brand we decide to carry, and are glad to share this information upon request. Ultimately we leave the decision entirely up to our customer, and do not limit our printing to any of these options.

Printing
All of our printing is done in our shop in Olympia, Washington. Nothing is outsourced, and we print everything by hand.
